One of my favourite plants which is quite easy to grow, but which resents being moved. When mature (which takes a few years) it forms large clumps of spectacular green foliage to over 3 ft. Its flowers are also very eye catching, being a rich deep yellow, which when fertilised go on to produce a tall knobbly seed spike. It is said to be smelly, but I have grown it for many years and have never found it to be a problem. It is quite happy to grow in moist soil but will tolerate a few inches of water.
Care:-Harmful if eaten, and can cause irritation to skin and eyes.
